In this phone scam, scammers will pretend to represent major banks or credit card companies and send out large amounts of robocalls informing the victim that there has been a suspicious charge on their card/account. At the start of the call, the scammer will always ask the victim for personal info to “verify” their account. The goal of this scam is to receive credit card numbers, full names, addresses, and other personal information.
